The rule: Get married and have a baby.
When Grandpa Stinson dies, he expects nothing more than to keep his grandsons together, running the family’s multibillion-dollar business. But he’s got just one unfaltering rule: they have to get married and have a baby first. The brothers disagree…wholeheartedly.
But it’s set in stone. Follow the rule or you’re the one grandson out of luck…
Stubborn, rugged, but oh-so-sexy, Roark Stinson, the oldest brother, refuses to give in to his grandfather’s manipulations. After all, women are the root of all evil, and he’s never witnessed a relationship that actually works. Then it hits him; it doesn’t have to work.
Roark just needs a warm body to agree to the terms…
Zoe Morgan never wanted to be anyone’s “means to an end,” especially not Roark Stinson’s. But his proposal is one she’s in no position to refuse–can’t refuse. When the stakes are this high, a warm body might just be exactly what she needs.
Maybe–just maybe–Grandpa Stinson knew exactly what he was doing…
SOMEWHERE, TX BACHELORS, in series order…
(#1) Can’t Get You Off My Mind
(#2) What’s Love Got To Do With It (coming soon)
(#3) You’re The One That I Want (coming soon)
How many people cuss roundly when they sit around the table at the reading of a will? Oh, not because they were forgotten… not because they feel the distribution is unfair and someone else got more than them… no certainly not that. Rather they cuss because the deceased continues to instill their control upon the lives of the living from beyond the grave. Such is the case with Robert Stinson, railway tycoon. Beyond the grave he has determined he will dictate his three grandsons lives. They will either marry and create a child within a year of his death or they will be stricken from the will and loose all that they have worked for.
Roark Stinson is beyond livid. He storms from the conference room and promptly sets a string of events into motion which could ultimately prove his making or his undoing. He, a fishbowl and a young courier collide and he is swept into the indomitable sphere of Zoe Morgan. The woman intrigues him, she ignites his lust and passions, she make him laugh, he admires her… but can he trust her? Can he trust any woman? Then again does he really have to? He has what she needs desperately and she can give him what he wants. A simple contractual obligation. A simple answer to his dilemma. Or is it?
Zoe Morgan works three jobs and almost around the clock in her endeavor to keep her grandmother close by and given adequate care. Her grandmother is everything to Zoe. Grams picked up the broken pieces of her childhood with an addict mother and raised her. She’s never known her father’s name let alone set eyes upon him. The town folk revile her for an accident not of her doing. She’s buried under the weight of old hospital bills from an accident that left her scarred physically and emotionally. Still she soldiers on. She goes to the nursing home daily to visit with a grandmother that seldom recognizes her. It’s absolutely heart wrenching. Being put on a week of bedrest is devastating. But slowly through her forced vacation she comes to admire Roark… but does she admire him enough to accept his proposition of marriage? Just how far will she go to ensure her grandmother is cared for? How far is too far?
I really liked Can’t Get You Off My Mind and I’m really looking forward to seeing what solutions to the marriage dilemma that TJ and Nic come up with. I mean it appears that Nic should have a built in solution with his girlfriend of four years… but come on if it were that easy he wouldn’t have a whole book devoted to him figuring things out. Then there is the consummate playboy, TJ. His proposed solution sounds absolutely entertaining. Somewhere, TX has proven the breeding grounds of some very entertaining romances whether of the plain ole western contemporary nature or the very otherworldly paranormal variety. It doesn’t matter if you’re reading this author as Emma Roman or as Krystal Shannan. Her writing will draw you in and engage you.
