As a young girl, Nelle Tamerlind wouldn’t go near the old farmhouse on the hill, or the reclusive man who’d lived there—except on a dare. But when the sudden loss of income forces her back home to live at her parent’s house, and gorgeous Matthew Hunter comes looking for help to clear out his uncle’s nearby estate, Nelle can’t say no to the job.

Summoned to the U.S. as the sole heir to his eccentric uncle, British businessman Matthew soon discovers that Samuel Colton had lived a secret life as a sexual Dominant—a life he wanted Matthew to inherit. After a risky experiment as a teenager, Matthew had forced himself to reign in his sadistic desires to protect the women around him. But as Matthew is drawn into his uncle’s seductive world, he is compelled to take an unsuspecting submissive with him, or lose a fortune.

When Colton’s will reveals the real reason Nelle was recommended for the job, will Matthew risk his inheritance to protect her?

Dark, amusing, and deeply addictive, the story of Nelle and Matthew will draw you into a lust-filled dream you won’t soon forget.

A legacy worth exploring

Controlling and manipulative deceased must be a thing at the moment. Do you ever notice that authors and filmmakers all of the sudden will have a number of books or films with the same underlying theme? I’ve wondered before if they all got together and said “Here is the theme, what can you do with it?” Maybe it’s something in the water? At any rate I am always so amazed at how different the stories are.

In the case of Bound to the Land, Matthew’s uncle has left him his farm and his very sizeable fortune with just a few stipulations of a carnal nature with a very specific woman. He has also dictated that to receive said fortune Matthew must comply with his wishes in regards to claiming his legacy, wishes that dredge up all his fears of the side of himself he has been running from for years. So is he willing to face his dominant side with a woman his uncle picked out just for him so that he can inherit? Or should he just walk away? But darn this woman really calls to him. Perhaps this unassuming bookseller can get past his fears to explore his dominant nature and in the exploration maybe he’ll find something worth more than all of his inheritance. Perhaps he’ll claim his true legacy.

Nelle has just gotten her pink slip. Four years managing an unnamed client’s portfolio, living in a luxurious subsidized apartment and overnight it’s all gone. Her client has died and with him, her aspirations. So now she finds herself back in her hometown watching over her parents home while trying to decide what to do next. That is until she gets a call. Apparently, her ex-client has one final request… help his executor with his estate. Well she certainly didn’t expect to learn her client had been none other than old man Colton. The old man had been the terror of all the children growing up. But this isn’t a simple request… this one has just a few oddities about it. This is no simple estate clean up… not when a very intimate relationship with the boss is required… but darn he’s so hot and has her all bothered. Is it really that much of a hardship?

Things are bound to get interesting. Their wildest fantasies are about to be realized. Just a few buttons are about to be pushed. Can these two make it out the other side untouched? Unclaimed? Or will this prove to be the one thing that will change them both forever? Bound to the Land is a great exploration of Matthew and Nelle’s darker sides. It’s also an exploration of love in the making. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the two of them explore this new world together. All too many books explore the BDSM world from the eyes of an accomplished Dom with a sub who may or may not have experience. Seldom do you get to see a Dom in the making. Ms. Fox gives a unique spin to the bequeathing of a legacy, one that will definitely keep you entertained and turning the page.
