In the final installment of the Rayne’s Thunder romantic serial, Rayne has been kidnapped and wolves are dying. The rogue pack looks to be winning but the fight in Rayne and the Manchester sibling is not extinguished. They knew it would be a challenge maintaining the Colorado Pack Alpha position and they will give it everything they’ve got to keep it.

Well, part five left you knowing things had definitely hit the wall. Rayne is up to her eyeballs in traitorous rebels. One conniving wolf has decided he’s destined to be the new alpha of Colorado. Too bad he forgot to consult with the reigning family. Rayne may be down, but she is certainly not out. This is one feisty she-wolf who proves once again that she has what it takes to be an alpha herself. And once she’s figured her way out of the mess she’s in she’s going hunting because no one threatens her mate, family and pack and walks away unscathed.

Help comes from surprising arenas, but an enterprising wolf will take help from where she gets it. While I wasn’t familiar with Ms. Brumfield’s prior Winters Saga series I can tell you I’ll be taking a look at it after meeting the characters from the series. Can anyone say wolves, vamps, dragons and witches? Sign me up cause this is sounding like a fun time to me. In the meantime, it looks like Rayne and Storm have a life of challenge and love ahead. Not much more I can tell you here… everything I think has spoiler written all over it. So know this, Alpha’s Call is a satisfying ending to the challenge the rogues have brought. If I had one complaint it would be in not seeing Storm and Rayne interact even more. I felt just a little let down when we got a touch of spice in part five and we were right back to sweet with this one. Even so the twists, suspense and action definitely held me in thrall.

I’m looking forward to seeing just how Rhyme and River handle their own mating games.
