Darkest Desire is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I love working for Eli and Daniel, being the new sitter gives me a reason to get up in the morning. But my heart no longer belongs to myself. I have fallen in love with not one but two strong alphas.

The problem is they have no idea I even exist. I ‘m just the boring nerdy nanny.

Living with men and women who live the BDSM lifestyle makes me wonder what it could be like. I see the love, the respect and that’s what I crave. My chance comes to find myself and maybe just to get that for myself, when I get an invitation into the exclusive club Ruby Rose.

The problem is how can I safeguard my heart from the men who I really want?

A virginal innocence that begs for guidance

Lacy LeRoch is a totally new to me author, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read her ARC and review it. You can be sure I’ll be going back and reading Awakening Desire as soon as I get the chance. After having met the stars of that tale as secondary characters in this one, I can’t wait. That said I really have to say I like Lacy’s style of presentation. The book is presented in alternating points of view between the two Doms and their very virginal submissive. Lacy’s choice of presentation allows the reader to get inside the heads of her main characters. A great move for showing just how imperfect Bruter and Brian are, let alone the desires and issues of Ivy.I think the blurb said something about a BBW. Well, that’s just what Lacey is and like a lot of BBW, Lacy has a self-esteem issue. She is also a virgin with no real clue what she wants except that she knows she wants a relationship like the one her bosses, Ann, Daniel and Eli have. Of course, the icing on the cake would be if said relationship could be with her dream men, Bruter and Brian. Unfortunately, they are already in a D/s relationship with Holly. I really liked how innocent and clueless Ivy was in one moment and yet so certain of those things she did want. And boy howdy, when this girl gets a clue watch out! She is hell on wheels and taking her Doms for a definite spin.

Bruter is the Alpha Dom in this m/m/f relationship. He works security with his partner Brian for Ann, Daniel and Eli. It’s only been fairly recently that he’s come out of the closet and publicly claimed his relationship with Brian. He has an ex that apparently did a number on him… stringing him along when she was already married. They have a sixteen-year-old son, Jack. Watching Bruter interact with his son was a joy. I really like open and honest relationships with kids where a parent is free in sharing age appropriate information. Bruter and Jack have a great relationship. While it’s pretty obvious Bruter loves Brian his feelings for Holly are a mixed bag and going downhill quick. It seems a certain someone has taken up residence in his heart and superficial just doesn’t cut it anymore. For the first time in his life, Bruter is feeling possessive and protective of a female. Watching this total alpha Dom turn Daddy Dom and the effects it has on him is a real treat. I had to LOL when he equated his feelings to turning all girly. Of course, his change in directions causes quite a stir with Brian.

When Brian was first introduced to the story, I have to tell you I wasn’t all that impressed… in fact, I thought he was a bit of a jerk, self-centered and egotistical. Man did I want to slap the twerp a good one. But as his character is presented further you get a chance to see a little deeper into him. You see his insecurities and the great love he holds for Bruter. I can’t tell you how nice it was to see him start to get a clue about Holly as well. Then when he opens his eyes and really starts to see Ivy, you really get a chance to see what Bruter sees in him. Brian was definitely someone that grew on me. Oh and did I mention that while he might be a Dom in his own right, he is definitely submissive when it comes to Bruter. He can also be rather a brat.

I’ll leave you with two quotes…

“You need to remember… you belong to us. Your body craves our touch, your soul screams for more.” ` Bruter

“I love these men with everything in me. This is just the beginning of our beautiful love, our darkest desires.” `Ivy

Darkest Desire is well worth the read, hot, steamy and quite satisfying. Now where can I find a Bruter? Hmmm and if he behaves himself, perhaps I’d take a Brian as well.
