Brant Harkrader is done living by other peoples’ rules. He may not know exactly what he wants out of life, but he’s perfectly happy letting that question figure itself out while starting a new job as a tour guide.
Too bad the one thing he does want—his sister’s BFF—only sees him as a little brother.
Or so he thinks…
Kellan Shelby-Briggs has never shied away from going after what he wants. And what he wants is the important contract that will put his brand new company on the map—and Brant.
Too bad Kellan’s career keeps yanking him away just as things heat up between them.
Now that Brant is back in town—up close and personal in Kell’s living space—can they finally get the timing right to go after the love that has eluded them both for too long?

Such a sweet story; I loved it!
I could almost repeat word-for-word (except for changing the MCs names) the review I did for Keeping Casey, the first book in the Keeping Him series. The books absolutely standalone but Amy Aislin fans will enjoy the references to some familiar characters from other books.
Keeping Kellan is a low angst, sweet-with-heat, slow-burn, friends-to-lovers story that ticked so many boxes for me. There aren’t a lot of sexy or explicit scenes in this book but I like those kinds of stories a lot. Sometimes is great to just let your imagination fill in the blanks.
Kellan is Brant’s sister’s best friend. They’ve known each other for years. The five-year age difference was a lot when they were young; not so much now, though. Brant has been crushing on Kellan forever but he had no idea that Kellan’s view of their friendship changed a while ago.
Brant’s step-father is a jerk and so is his mom for not sticking up for Brant when he was young. Even though Kellan lived next door he didn’t know how badly Brant’s step-father was treating him. Now that he sees first-hand how things are he is quick to come to Brant’s defense.
I could go on and on but I won’t. I’m just going to recommend that you read this if you enjoy a good slow-burn story with beautiful and descriptive writing, great characters and a wonderful HEA.
