TOMMASO
The furniture district is my personal hell. I don’t know my ass from an ottoman. But when a hot designer comes to my rescue, I realize my problems are bigger than the house I’m trying to furnish.
A scorching kiss over fabric samples makes me question all my choices. But is it too late to change my entire life to get more of them?
CARTER
I need this gig, but my cocky new client leaves out a couple crucial details:
He doesn’t mention that he’s a famous hockey player. And he doesn’t own up to the way he’s always trying to undress me with his dark, broody eyes.
The man throws out more mixed signals than a broken traffic light. I’ve never been more sexually frustrated in my entire life. I need to back away before I do something stupid, like lose my heart.
Oops. Too late.

Sweet with just enough heat!
I’m Your Guy is book two in the Hockey Guys series but it can be read as a standalone book. Characters from book one (which I have to catch up on) appear as side characters in this book but you absolutely won’t be lost if you haven’t read that one yet.
I’m Your Guy is such a sweet story with just the right amount of heat. Tommaso is hiding a lot about himself and it takes Carter, the interior designer he hired, to make him realize how much he is hurting himself by staying in the closet.
Carter has had a run of bad luck. The business he started with his boyfriend has nearly bankrupted him when said boyfriend ordered a bunch of expensive furniture for a client on Carter’s personal credit card and the client failed to pay.
Tommaso needs help to furnish his home in time for his mother’s visit at Christmas and hires Carter to do the work. He doesn’t know at the time that this job is a life-line for Carter. As the two work together (Tom being a bit reluctant; he wants Carter to handle everything because he hates shopping) the sparks fly and they become closer. Tommaso is terrified of anyone finding out he’s gay due to the horrible bullying he’s suffered for years from his cousin and uncle – which he has refused to tell anyone about.
I loved everything about this story. I wanted to hug both of these guys to comfort them from the bad breaks that life has thrown their way. The only thing that could make me like this any more would be to listen to the audiobook performed by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan which I preordered weeks ago. 🥰
