Synopsis

When Kel Taylor’s life changes irrevocably, he finds himself alone in the world. He might have rebelled a little against his parents, but that didn’t mean he was ready to lose them. Unable to cope with his grief and feelings of guilt, he turns to booze, but before he hits rock bottom, someone dives into the murky waters to save him.

Luc Bryant watched Kel grow from the little kid whose football broke a pane in his greenhouse, into the sexy young man who sent heat racing through him. That was when Luc stopped watching and distanced himself, because he didn’t want to be that kind of a man. And that’s how things continued, until he saw to what depths the boy had sunk. Luc will be damned if he’ll let Kel kill himself. What Kel needs is a friend, and Luc’s shoulders are plenty big enough to bear his burdens.

Kel doesn’t need a friend. He needs a pair of strong arms to hold him, a broad chest to curl up against, someone to listen to him, someone who cares for him… and a whole lot more.
What he needs is a Daddy.
He just doesn’t know it yet.

A stand-alone book that contains an age gap relationship between a sexy daddy and a virgin.

What a beautiful age-gap love story!

I don’t read much Daddy kink and since this book is more of an age-gap with a side of a Daddy/boy relationship, that was fine with me. More than fine, actually; I loved this story. Some people might be put off by an age-gap of over 20 years but I’ve known at least two couples with nearly this large of an age-gap who were married for a long time so it’s not an issue for me.

What really impressed me in Kel’s Keeper is how much Luc respected Kel. During Kel’s later teen years, Luc became attracted to him but Luc went out of his way to avoid Kel so that he wouldn’t be tempted to do anything inappropriate. But after Kel’s parents die it becomes apparent to Luc that he needs help. Kel needs someone to help guide him and pull him out of the depression he’s fallen into, but Luc never treated Kel like a “kid.” Luc also doesn’t reveal his feelings for Kel until Kel reveals how he feels about Luc.

After both of them reveal their true feelings, Luc helps Kel to experience what it means to be gay and helps him realize that he doesn’t need to feel ashamed of who he is. He never pressures Kel for anything. He knows that he has certain things he wants from a sexual relationship but never says anything until Kel brings it up.

This was a beautiful love story with a lot of hot sexy time between Luc and Kel. I read this story from beginning to end without stopping to do anything else; it was just that good. I wish I could do a better job of putting into writing how much I liked this book.

I think that one of the biggest compliments I can give an author who provides me with an advanced review copy (ARC) is to immediately purchase the book after I’ve read it. I purchased a copy of this one.

About Author

K.C. Wells

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter….

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer… and longer….
