Synopsis

A football fanatic sports columnist. A sexy Italian soccer player. When in Rome . . .

Maggie Lane, a sports columnist and diehard football fan, is not exactly enthused when her editor-in-chief sends her to Rome, Italy, to write a feature story on Italian soccer star Marco Valenti. The last thing she wants to do is spend three weeks covering soccer right before the American football season begins. But Maggie’s job becomes a lot more appealing after meeting a sexy Italian man on her first night there.

One hot kiss and she is done for . . . but once Maggie discovers her mysterious Italian is Marco Valenti, she’s not sure if she’ll be able to write her story objectively, or if she’ll even have to. Marco stuns the world when he announces his retirement, and without an explanation as to why, rumors fly and the tension mounts. Despite Maggie’s protests, she is forced to stay, but with each passing day, she becomes enchanted with the beautiful city, as well as finds herself breaking her cardinal rule—never fall for a player.

As Maggie learns the truth about Marco, she has to make a decision: protect him or keep her job. Will Marco be able to trust her with his secrets? Can she trust him with her heart?

Charming, Sexy, Loads of Fun!

Forever Rome is a virtual Italian vacation! It’s a loads of fun, super witty, feel-good romance that will leave a huge smile on your face. You might even start watching soccer (excuse me, football), and stalking a player or two. Brittney Sahin not only has a delightful storytelling voice, her writing quickly pulls you into this charming romance and holds on tight.Maggie is one of those all around fantastic characters you’d love to be friends with. She’s awesome; hilarious, lots of fun, not afraid to laugh at herself. Being a female in the mostly male world of sports journalism, she’s had to put up with a lot of shite. And she’s done it professionally and gracefully, refusing to compromise her morals. Being sent to Rome to write a special piece on soccer, oops football, star Marco Valenti is a bit unusual since she mostly writes about American football but, hey. It’s a trip to Italy, right? Until she learns there’s a catch. However, once she gets to know this yummy Italian athlete who can charm the gelato right out of your hands, she’s torn. Should she write an article that will put her name on everyone’s lips, or drop it for the sake of Marco’s privacy?

Ms. Sahin does a spot on job of taking you along on Maggie’s journey. From walking among centuries-old ruins and eating in tiny bistros to zooming around the city in Marco’s Lamborghini. From sticking to her no-dating-athletes rule to falling hard for the biggest soccer star in Italy. Forever Rome is so damn good! It has everything you’d want in a contemporary romance. Loveable heroine, sensitive and hunky hero with a sexy accent, sizzling chemistry. A puzzle to solve, great secondary characters, trust issues to overcome and, did I mention sizzling chemistry? Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Rome with Maggie and Marco!
