As if overthrowing the vampire government and helping implement a new council to make vampires, shifters, and hybrids play nice wasn’t enough, Demetrius Devereux finds a bigger problem to deal with in an innocent, stubborn, and privileged beauty.
Callista Augustus is the over-protected daughter of a once-powerful vampire leader. Discovering her desperate father has tapped into a well of pure evil, Calli swallows her sense of betrayal and turns him in. She almost regrets it when she meets the infamous and arrogant Demetrius. Forcing herself to work with the male who ruined her family, Calli’s only concern is saving her father.
When Demetrius gets past the infuriating personality of the righteous female, he realizes Calli’s the one in great danger. He gives her his help out of duty, until it becomes clear that if he loses her, he loses everything.

Oh, what illusions we create for ourselves through the blinders of love.
Life has gotten rather dire since Callista’s father was deposed from his position on the council. Not that things hadn’t been getting rather bleak for many years prior to that fateful day Demetrius had overthrown the council. Unlike her peers, Callista wasn’t raised with a silver spoon, fine clothes, fancy parties and ritzy schooling. Rather, until very recently Callista was sheltered from society. They lived frugally with but one servant. That is until finances required someone bring home a paycheck to keep their meager existence going. Now there were no servants and Callista spent her evenings caring for the elderly. Abandoned by an uncaring mother, she’s been raised by her attentive and loving father. And, while escaping the isolation of home is a major temptation, honoring her father’s one request to remain chaste is really no challenge… that is until she meets Demetrius. Were it not for the fear that her father had become possessed by a demon, she would never have sought out Demetrius. Now he will be her damnation or her salvation, for succumbing to their desires could very well mean her death.
Demetrius had watched for years as the governing vampire council became more and more corrupt. He lived a carefree life and blind existence until the council decided to seize and sacrifice his sister to their experiments and walk along the dark path. Now in the aftermath of a rebellion and an overthrown government he keeps his secrets close and gives the outward appearance of a playboy prince. The supernatural community is no longer governed by species-centric individual governments. They’ve banned together under one united governing body and Demetrius is at the heart of the vampire contingency. Having grown up amongst the elitist vampire nobility he has his not so rose-colored glasses on when it comes to his former peers. So when the former councilman’s daughter comes seeking help, of course, he’s thinking she’s a spoiled brat having issues dealing with the setback in finances and status. He doesn’t have time for such trivial things. He’s involved in the serious matter of tracking the very dark arts the former council was delving into. That is until he hears Callista recount her observations.
Get ready for old machinations to come to light. Grab a tissue or two for the emotions that are stirred. Prepare for the tension and heat that will sizzle off the page. Remain firmly seated as the danger mounts. Callista and Demetrius have a major battle ahead if they want to claim the rewards of an eternal love. The ride might be bumpy but these two are definitely heading for an HEA. I really enjoyed Demetrius. It sets up for an excellent series arc and I can’t wait to read the next in the New Vampire Disorder series. So, if like me you like your paranormals with vampires, wolves, witches and demons I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one.

Well, I’m here,” he barked and marched toward the door of his chamber. It irritated him, the immediate effect she had.He passed Betty and caught her censuring glare. Asserting herself to Demetrius was nothing new. To an old battle axe like Betty, he was still a snot-nosed youngling with holes in his britches. This look was different. It dawned on him that she might know Callista Augustus after having served the family of a council member for centuries.
He’d saved Betty’s ass, given her shelter and a job, and yet this young blonde stomped into his office and commanded his assistant’s respect over him?
Curbing any gentlemanly skills at the threshold, he entered his office and didn’t bother holding the door for her. He sat behind his desk, reclining back in his chair. She waited with her arms crossed across from him. Betty had already shut the door.
Well, damn. He was going to snap at Miss Augustus to close it, take out some of his aggression, show her who was in charge.
“Callista Augustus.”
“Demetrius Devereux.” Her voice was as fine as she was.
He decided to switch tactics. “You have me. Alone. Whatever do you need,” he purred, eyeing her up and down.
It should’ve been part of the act, but his eyes seemed to take great pleasure perusing her curves. Her clothing was quality, but worn. She wore faded black leggings with knee-high boots that had seen better days. The pale yellow cardigan she wore over a mulberry top complimented the stunning color of her eyes.
Those eyes were narrowed on him.

Cover Reveal / Giveaway: Vodka on the Rocks by Lani Lynn Vale
Cover RevealsThere are rules to life that one just obeys in order in her attempt to stay on the right path. Casten Red, the unofficial enforcer of The Uncertain Saints MC, wasn’t necessarily trying to urge her into doing anything illegal, and he definitely wasn’t trying to get her into a fight with a group of men who were all twice her size. No, he only intended to give her the confidence to stand up for herself, just a little nudge in the right direction. How the hell was he supposed to know she’d go all Chuck Norris on them and put three of them in the hospital with concussions? He should’ve followed his gut instinct and turned around that first moment he saw her in the bar, but Casten has never liked following the rules.
