Captured by Justice and tortured, Harley knew one truth…he had to save the girl.

Curvy, sexy and strong as hell, in the face of her captors, Jocelyne never flinched. But Harley did. He tore through bars laced with silver to get to her. He tore a man’s throat out because he’d touched her.

With her lavender eyes sparking like sapphires and thick, gorgeous hair down to her waist, she tormented his wolf’s need to claim her, making the weeks of torture–cutting, burning, stretching and electrocution – worth the nightmares to come.

Being a soldier for the Order had its risks.

Mating the General’s daughter was the deadliest.

Falling in love could mean his death.

He’s all mine, Daddy dearest.

Broken Moon is Catherine Vale’s latest paranormal romantic suspense. Think paramilitary protectors and overzealous humans and you have the backdrop for the conflict surrounding this romance between the elite soldier, Harley and his general’s daughter, Jocelyne. The story starts out with Harley making a clandestine meeting with an informant, only to be distracted by a hot piece at the bar. A quick hook up leads to weeks of torture in the name of experimentation by the human group called Justice. When the daughter of his commander is brought into the dungeon he’s being held in, Harley’s focus expands from escape to rescuing Jocelyne. She is all he has ever wanted in a mate, but never allowed himself to believe he could ever have. Harley has had a lone existence, he’s tough as nails and a protector through and through, but put a sweet little half breed like Jocelyne in his path and the temptation is just too great to fight. This is one alpha male that is a total goner.

Jocelyne is frustrated with the overly protective dictates of her father. She goes after what she wants and when she sets her sights on her rescuer, Harley she’s determined to have him. Her father has been trying to pair her up with a shifter for years. Well now he’ll get his wish, but perhaps not quite the way he wanted it because Jocelyne is all about picking her mate for herself. The question remains though, will he choose his career or her in the end? It’s a rocky road getting there. Justice isn’t done with them and dad just might put a few stumbling blocks along the road as well.

Broken Moon is a great read and a wonderful start to what could make a great series. I have no clue if Ms. Vale plans to expand on this theme but I certainly hope so. As usual Ms. Vale delivers paranormal and suspense I think fans of werewolves and wolf shifters will love.
