I was supposed to be on a winter vacation with my best friend in the delightfully snowy town of Stowe, Vermont.
I was supposed to be sipping hot chocolate, staying up late, and sharing secrets.
I was supposed to be making a fool of myself on the bunny slope and sneaking glances at hot guys.
I was not supposed to be sitting in the SUV I’d just rear-ended.
I was not supposed to lose my hotel reservations because said rear-ending made me miss check-in.
And I most definitely should not be sharing the cabin of the hottest man I’d ever touched.
Oh, did I mention the SUV and cabin belong To. My. Ex?
Can you call someone an ex if you never actually broke up?
God, he looks good. The last four years have definitely been kind to him. So, would it be so bad if we shared a kiss—only one—for old times’ sake?
But…What if we could make it work? What if how easy it has been to slip back into an “us” means there’s still hope?
What if this vacation isn’t just a getaway but a journey back home—for keeps this time?
While Christmas for Keeps is a follow-up to the novella, Swimming Against the Tide, both books are complete standalones. Of course, you can always enjoy them together for a spectacularly bingeworthy experience.

So sweet with a lot of heat!
I’m not sure when the last time was that I read a book that was as sweet as this one – almost to the point of being over-the-top. But you know what? I loved it so much. I’m not sure I’d want to read stories this sweet all the time but this one is an absolutely perfect Christmas story (and there was more than enough heat, too).
I loved the descriptive writing. As I sat here in sunny Florida reading about snow and cold and winter in Vermont it made me a bit nostalgic for the winters of my childhood when I lived where the winters are cold. (OK, not nostalgic enough to want to move back where there is snow but reading about it is fun. 😊)
Zach and Connor each made choices and mistakes that hurt them both and kept them apart for four years. A lucky accident was all it took for their love to come back into their lives but it wasn’t always smooth sailing. A neighbor determined to stir up trouble nearly cost them all of the ground that they gained. Luckily, friends stepped in to help clear things up and Zach and Connor got their well-deserved HEA. The epilogue was a very nice finishing touch to their story.

Ryan Taylor met his husband and co-author, Joshua Harwood, in law school. They live in a suburb of Washington, DC, and share their home with a big, cuddly German shepherd. Ryan and Josh love to travel. In addition, Ryan also enjoys swimming, and Josh likes to putter in the garden whenever he can. They began writing to celebrate the romance they were so lucky to find with each other, and the sharing soon developed into a passion for telling stories about love between out and proud men.
