Synopsis

What’s worse than driving across country in a phallic-shaped RV with a coworker you hate? Falling in love with them.

Copywriter Callie Murphy has a bad attitude, a vicious tongue, and a serious aversion to Shimura Advertising’s resident manwhore, Walker Rhodes. Know where he can stick his good looks and Southern charm? She can think of a few creative places. Avoiding him wouldn’t be a problem, except her boss threatens to fire her if she doesn’t go along with him on their RV client’s cross-country tour.

Walker is sick of his job, tired of women, and in a big old creative rut. The upcoming client road trip is just what he needs to shake things up and rediscover his lost passion. But his plans go south when his partner drops out at the last minute, and Callie, the foul-mouthed tiny terror, takes her place. Unless he can find a way to thaw his icy coworker, he’s looking at two months of pure hell.

On the road, they experience one hilarious misadventure after another and soon find themselves on a life-changing journey. But when their paths veer off in different directions, will they hit a dead end?

Best Road Trip Ever!

Road trip stories are my absolute favorite. The good one’s make you feel as if you’re tripping right along in the story, experiencing every wacky, random, and poignant moment that jumps out and wallops the characters. The good one’s leave you wanting more when the trip is over. Road-Tripped does not fall into the “good” category. Oh, no. This book shoves every other road trip book out of the way and takes over the top spot in the FANTABULOUS category! How I loved this book! LOVED!

Callie thinks the ad agency she works at is ridiculous. Video games, pool tables, open bar in the break room… She has no idea why Skip, her BFF, added all that Google-esque crap when he took the reins after his dad’s death. But Google it is not. As a matter of fact, she’d bet her worldly possessions the place is heading for trouble. Oh, wait. She has no worldly possessions. And the only reason she has this job is because Skip feels sorry for her. Regardless, she hates it. And she hates everything about her life right now. So when Skip informs her she’s to partner with Walker Rhodes on a VIP ad campaign, she wants to tell him where to stick it. But she can’t. She owes Skip. And he’s counting on this campaign to save the agency. She knew it! But that doesn’t mean she has to enjoy traipsing around the country in a silver dildo RoadStream RV, playing “hip-couple-on-a-road-trip” with Walker.

Walker Rhodes isn’t the ridiculously gorgeous, sexy manslut Callie thinks he is. He’s ridiculously gorgeous, to be sure. But he’s a polite Southern boy who can’t even bring himself to say the F-word. And he wants to get to the bottom of Callie Murphy’s story and discover why she is broken. Because he’s not just a pretty face. He’s wicked smart, funny, talented, and he finds himself strongly attracted to his snarky, foul-mouthed, hermit of a co-worker.

Nicole Archer’s debut novel is nothing short of awesome. The writing is top notch. The characters are so well-developed I sometimes forgot they weren’t real. The chemistry between Callie and Walker is a living, breathing, beautiful thing; it may ebb and flow, depending on the day, but it is one hell of an elephant in the room. And my favorite thing about this book? The dialogue. Holy hell, is it ever good! Hilarious zingers, witty repartee, heartfelt confessions, and dirty, sexy talk keep the pace of this novel fast and furious. Add in the oh, so creative road trip shenanigans and this book is one you will reach for when you need cheering up. Or, just a ton of damn good laugh out loud moments.

I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. You hear that, Ms. Archer?
