A great “taboo” story.

I put “taboo” in quotes in my heading for this review because I don’t really consider this a taboo story; it is a great story, though. Darcy and Wren aren’t related by blood and the readers know that if they read the blurb so that’s why I personally don’t consider this a taboo story. However, in the story only a few people know that Darcy and Wren aren’t related and I guess that’s where the taboo aspect comes into play.

When Wren finds out that his bio-dad left him money he doesn’t want to have anything to do with it or his brothers. The relationship between the siblings starts out very rocky with the two younger brothers not liking Wren at all. Darcy, however, feels guilty that he lived the life that Wren should have had and tries his best to get Wren to take an interest in the family company. Then the feelings start…

I liked the emotional connection between Darcy and Wren and how they worked together. The steamy scenes were also nice. 😊 I got a bit frustrated with Darcy that he didn’t want to try and figure out a way for them to be together but Wren’s solution was perfect.

The epilogue was great and I loved the light-hearted way it started out but I won’t say anything more about that. 😈
