What happens when a sassy curvy gal who’s looking for love, runs into a drop-dead gorgeous hunky dragon-shifter who’s looking for one true mate?
Sassy, curvy Natalie Richards writes about paranormal romance by day but when her hunky mysterious neighbor offers her a story she can’t resist, she knows it has to be too good to be true. He can’t really be a mythical creature…can he? Dreams and reality collide as Natalie falls under his spell. Should she give in to his persistent advances, especially since they’re getting harder and harder to resist…
Aidan Auger know Natalie is the one the moment he sees her. Curvaceous and spunky, she’s gorgeous in every way, and he wants her to be his, for eternity. Convincing her that she’s his one true mate is another matter. She has this guy who’s sort of her boyfriend, but that’s not the biggest challenge. Will she be able to accept him for who he really is—a rare water dragon-shifter?
Sparks fly and passions roar when the two of them are together, but can lust grow into something more? Will Natalie be able to give up everything to be Aidan’s mate?
I really love dragons and shifters. Paranormal romance is one of my favorite subgenres. Over the years, I’ve come to expect certain elements in PNR… adventure, action and suspense being some of them. Until just before the very end of A Dive with Her Dragon, I didn’t get a sense of these elements. It was a quick read with a definite romance but no real sense of urgency or major heat.
The heroine, Natalie is an editor for a writer’s magazine. Basically, she writes how-to articles for paranormal writers. She’s in a blasé quasi-relationship with a guy that would put any woman to sleep with boredom. Then she meets her neighbor, Aidan. He’s everything Chad isn’t. He’s also her savior when her latest article gets rejected just before release. But can his farfetched claims of being a dragon shifter be believed? And what of his claim that she is his true mate?
Aidan, has been searching for his true mate for centuries. He’s an immortal dragon shifter, but immortality has a catch. One only ages when in their human skin. Seems it might prove trying to find a mate if you seldom shift. Sensing the time for finding his mate is near, Aidan has taken to land in search of her. He knows instantly when he sees Natalie that he’s found her. Now comes the hard part… introducing her to his dragon and convincing her to live an eternity in his arms.
If you are looking for a sweet romance then this one qualifies. Although it didn’t have the excitement I look for in a PNR it was a good read.
